Overview
During the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown, the CogX Festival had to be moved online. I designed and built a virtual platform that allowed thousands of attendees to participate in the event from the safety of their homes. The platform featured a central hub for attendees to access all content, live chat rooms, virtual breakout sessions, and a virtual exhibition hall.
Process
Research
We conducted research to understand the specific needs of event organisers and attendees, including surveying attendees about their preferences for virtual event platforms.
Design
We designed a platform with a central hub for all event content, schedule of events, speaker bios, virtual exhibitor hall, live chat rooms, and virtual networking lounge.
Outcome
The event was a huge success with thousands of attendees participating and engaging with the content. Attendees praised the platform for its ease of use and interactive features.
